It has been 6.5 years since that horrible day. My daughter was one of the 20 students in a class across the hall from your office, one of those terrified kids you shepherded into your office, locking them in, trying to keep them safe, while you yourself left to try to help the other students and teachers under attack on the floor below you. It was from your office that my daughter called me that morning, saying, "Mom, there's shooting on the floor below...we're locked in an office...I love you, Mom, and I'll try to call you later." My daughter is unable to talk to me about that day, so it's taken all of these years to try to figure out the details concerning her class, the 3rd floor students. Who was the professor who locked her class in his office, then left to try to help? Who was her professor? I still don't know that one. But today I learned that it was you who herded her and her classmates into your office, locking them in, trying to protect them from a madman. My daughter came home to me that day, safe and physically unharmed. I want to say "thank you" to you, your wife, your children, but that doesn't come close to being enough or to expressing what's in my heart. Thank you isn't enough...this is why we live for the 32, why we never forget, ever. Thank you from my grateful, overwhelmed heart. I will never, never, ever forget your courage and your sacrifice.

I am not a friend of the family but i too have experiened the death of a lovd one. Through my studies of the Bible i have learned that there will be a time when we will see our dead loved ones again. There will also be "no more death, sickness, or pain anymore". I hope that this information will comfort you like it has comforted me an dmy family.

To the family of Kevin Granata:
I offer my condolences in the loss of Kevin. We are assured in the Bible that "God {Jehovah} is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves." (Psalm 34:18) During this difficult time, God can help you to cope with the death of your loved one. Prayer has a tremendous value in calming our hearts and remember the memories of Kevin are forever etched in your hearts.
Psalm 55:22

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am the sparkle in the snow.
I am the shredded leaves that blow.
I am the sunlight on growing grain.
I am the gentle summer rain.
I am the quiet bird at night.
Circling about; Taking flight.
So do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.

RISE UP SLOWLY, ANGEL

Rise up, slowly, Angel.
I cannot let you go.
Just drift softly midst the faces,
In sorrow now bent low.

Ease the searing anger,
Born in harsh unyielding truth
That Death could steal my loved one
From the glowing blush of youth.

Rise up slowly, Angel.
Do not leave me here alone,
Where the warmth of mortal essence
Lies replaced by cold, hard stone.

Speak to me in breezes
Whispered through the drying leaves,
And caress my brow with raindrops
Filtered by the sheltering trees.

Rise up slowly, Angel,
For I cannot hear the song
Which calls you through the shadows
Into the light beyond.

Wrap me in your downy cape
Of sunshine, warm with love,
And kiss a tear-stained mother's face
With moonlight from above.

Then wait for me at sunset,
Beside the lily pond,
And guide me safely homeward
To your world,which lies beyond.

Just spread your wings and take me
In reunion’s sweet embrace,
And we shall soar, together,
To a different time and place.

To Kevin's family and friends,
Our heavenly father promises at Isaiah 41:10-"Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not gaze about, for I am your God. I will fortify you. I will really help you. I will really keep fast hold of you with my right hand of righteousness". May you grasp hold of his hand and allow him to guide you through the coming days, months and years.
May you gain comfort from these additional scriptures:
Isaiah 25:8-"He will actually swallow up death forever."
Revelation 21:4-"And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
My husband was lost on 9/11 and these scriptural promises comfort me greatly.

What a great uncle. Lossing Uncle Kevin has been one of the hardest deaths I have had to deal with. Through this trajedy I know our family will grow stronger. He was loved and loved all of us. I always loved to see him play with his kids. I know he will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Thank you Uncle Kevin for all you have done here on this earth. A true hero.
April 29, 2007
To The Family of Kevin Granata-My deepest sympathy goes out to your family. Please know that you can gain comfort from the scriptures. Almighty God Jehovah has the power to resurrect our loved ones, for John 5:28,29 tells us: "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." Know that Jehovah God does care about you & take comfort from His word during this difficult time.

Linda Granata, My heart goes out to you and your children, Alex, Eric and Ellen, during this time of deep sadness. There are no words just heartfelt sympathy. It is my sincere hope that the memories you made together will keep him alive in the hearts of you and your children. The Bible certainly helps in dealing with loss. The Bible reveals that God supplies comfort in various ways to those in need. For example, he gives strength to those who turn to him in prayer, asking for his help. May Our Loving Heavenly Father, Jehovah, be with you and your family.
April 27, 2007
Father we entrust our brother Kevin to your mercy. You loved him greatly in this life: now that he is freed from all its cares, give him happiness and peace forever. Welcome him now into paradise where there will be no more sorrow, no more weeping or pain, but only peace and joy with Jesus your Son, and the Holy Spirit forever and ever.
May God hold Kevin in the palm of His hand. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My deepest sympathy.

April 26, 2007
To Joe Granata, and Chuck and Arlene,

This is a voice from your past, the early 1950's to be exact. I was then Joyce Dusseau.

I have been following the story of Kevin on the web and in the Toledo Blade. What an impressive young man he was. It would have been a pleasure to know him. His death is a loss to all of us.

You and your family are all in our daily prayers. We will be with you in thought on Saturday morning. May God's blessings bring you strength in the days ahead.

As a former Toledoan, I am deeply saddened by the loss of this high quality individual. He was a true hero in life and a positive force even in death. Sincere sympathy to his family and friends and may they cherish the time they had with such a role model. God gives us free will but He also has a plan for each of His children. It is not for us to question these events, but, rather, learn from them.
April 26, 2007
our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this time of great sadness, i know that will never change what happened but through the words of others i hope that will help you heal. rememberance really is the best medicine in times like these.

Kevin Granata calls the kids in
Including his son and some of their friends
He pats them on the back and tells them the plan
Then out to the field they take their positions, they stand
They are ready to play for fun and to win
Through good sportsmanship, no rules they’ll bend
Kevin cheers them on with love and respect
He goes over the list making sure it’s all correct
The research is important can’t make a mistake
He would not spend too many late nights with his family at stake
Do it right for the progress of knowledge, truth and humanity
He conversates on many things for he has lots to say
A loving father, a caring husband and a professor who gave all he could give
Kevin’s life is a life that he as a good man did live.

On behalf of the Members of First Christian Church, in Burlington Iowa, we want to express our utmost condolences at this most difficult time in your lives. May it be a comfort to you and your family and friends to know that you are being remembered right now and in the months to come in the thoughts and prayers of so many. It is our prayer that you will feel God’s everlasting love and presence in this time of sorrow and that you turn to Him for His strength to guide your way through these troubled times. We sincerely hope and pray that your tremendous grief at this time will gradually diminish while the precious memories of your loved ones will last forever. May you find peace in God’s never failing love and care and may God's blessing be with you and your family at this time. It is our fervent prayer that you find strength in the Lord!
Jesus told his disciples, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." Matthew 5:4.

My heart and prayers are with you. Proverbs 3:5-6 says: Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

May God bless this family.

We are heart struck over the senseless actions of one individual. Our thoughts are with you. After the tears stop flowing and the pain softens try to remember the time you shared with your loved one and the memories you made, Memories are eternal and forever and know one can take that away from you.
April 25, 2007
I am very sorry for your loss. I have experienced losses both anticipated and unexpected. When I was fifteen years old in my first year in high school, my mother died of melanoma at age 54 in December 2004; we were anticipating the loss. As with me, I am sure your loss is emotionally stressful for you and your family.

Your grief may ebb and flow. It has been said that each of us has this well deep inside of us that can be filled to the brim with grief. Every time we cry, we empty out some of the well. But the well fills again. The level of sorrow in your well may lessen as time passes, but it will never run dry. There will always be birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and those days when the well seems to fill to its brim again. Allow yourself time to remember and mourn. It is part of your healing. Grief is a continuing journey.

You don't know me, and I doubt we will ever meet. My Aunt and Uncle (George & Carol Feustel)e-mail us and asked us to pray. I can't imagine going through your loss, but I know someone you can rest on. Trust God to bring you through this time and He will not let you down. Also know that even though we are a long distance apart, we are praying for you and for the others who have been afected by this aweful event. God Bless!

It is so shocking what happened on that sorrowful day
In my prayers you will forever stay
Although we never met and I did not know you
This is a poem for you to say my adieu
It is a shame you can not be with us today
Due to everything that happened I am still in dismay
Now you are up in a better place
We will never forget your honor and grace
Please look over us, protect us from dangers
You are missed by your family and countless strangers
I wanted to let you know you are in the thoughts of many
Condolences and commiserations are aplenty
I bless your family hope they stay strong
In my thoughts they will always belong
I say to you and the other decease
I wish that you all rest in peace

Strangers but yet family - we draw together upon a crisis and we all belong to the family of God. We hope you know how many thousands upon thousands of people are lifting you and your family up in prayer. We hope you know that will continue - not just this week but in weeks and months to come. Your loss is felt by so many. We never had the privilege of meeting him but yet in everything we read we know what kind of person he was, how much he was loved and admired. Hold on to the precious memories. Keep looking to God to take care of your every needs and always know, we're praying.

This tragedy has touched everyone in one way or another. I am from Prof. Granata's home town of Toledo and lived most of my adult life in Va. I cannot say how sorry I am for your loss to lose a husband, father, brother and son. We pray for all of you and keep your memories close to your heart and remember he is always there with you.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

April 24, 2007
I didnt know any of the people that passed, but this whole thing has gotten to me, alot. I am 15 years old and I'm a freshman at Crawford County High School in Roberta, GA. This tragedy has most definatley opened up the eyes of many people, even in other states far from Virginia. Even my school in this little town we know as Roberta are buckling down and making sure that our schools are safer. It has opened up my eyes to all the possiblities at schools, here in Georgia, Virginia, and all over the world also. My condolences go out to all the friends and family of the victims. I can't possibly begin to imagine what they must be going through. Stay strong, VT will pull through!

Linda,
Your life has taken a drastic turn. A turn that should have never been. I know that Kevin is with God and Jesus. (Maybe he was asked to shave!) We all loved him! We all love you and like I said before I went home on Sunday; if there is anything I can do, ANYTHING, even if you are not sure that I can help... ASK and I will do my best. As you know I love you, Alex, Eric and Ellen and I also loved Kevin.

Whatever you need;

It's so terrible that something like this can still happen in the year 2007...
You will forever be in the world their prayers, their thoughts, their heart!
April 23, 2007
I am at a loss of words to express how sorry I am at this senseless loss. I would like to comfort you in some small way and the only way I can think of doing so is in keeping Kevin and his loved ones in my heart and prayers.
As we say at these times of sorrow, "may Kevin rest in peace and may you know no other sorrow."
April 23, 2007
I did not know you or your family. But I don’t believe there is a person in the world whose heart has not been touched by this tragedy. There is nothing in this life that brings us more sorrow than to lose loved ones in death. Even harder to bear is when the lives of loved ones are lost due to an unexpected tragedy. The shock can be overwhelming.
Be assured that God promises that he…”is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.” (Psalms 34:18) Nothing can bring us more peace of mind than the inspired words of… the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulations. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) Take comfort and solace in the Bible's message as we all await the time when GOD…” will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:3,4)

I am deeply saddened by the lost of your loved one. At times like these it is comforting to know that the Bible tells us at Acts 24 verse 15 that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. So with that knowledge, know that there is a hope that you will see your loved one again.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
April 21, 2007
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Sorrowful tears
well up in my eyes
For those who have fallen
like rain from the skies

Each life was so precious
so many are gone
May they shine now from Heaven
like a new morning dawn

I cannot make sense
of this tragic event
I offer my heart
and my prayers have been sent

Each one had a dream
Each one had a goal
Each one had a family
Each one has a soul

Life must go on
for loved ones so shattered
Reach to their hearts
and show them it mattered

For families so lost
For friends left to cope
I greive for their hearts
I pray for their hope

In memory of those who have fallen and for those left to grieve.
For those left injured in harms way...
I pray for peace and healing of your hearts.

Linda-I am so so sorry for your loss.I do believe that there is a time for everyone to pass on, and i guess none of us were prepared or ready for Mr. Granata to pass. Just be reasurred that he would always want the best for you guys, and that he of course misses you.

Ellen-I can't even Immagine to think of how you feel. I want you to know I'm always here if you need to call me. Call my cell anytime. 434 953 5363. I love you and i know you'll get through this tough time. Your a strong, brave girl. Love you so much.

Eric-aahh! i remember the awesome times we had playing wedding and our little games. Ohh we are so cool! I am really sorry, and i know this must be SO hard on you. But just remember, your dad was a GREAT guy and loved you all very much. I'm always here, I gave Ellen my number, so call if you ever just need someone to talk to. You can call and not talk, that's fine, Just know I'm always here.

Alex-I know that this is probably the hardest on you out of You, Eric, and Ellen, because since your the oldest you knew him longer. Well, Your dad was an amazing guy and he loved you so much. I know that this is super tough and you probably feel like nothing will ever get better and your life will be horrible, But remember that your dad is always looking after you, and even if he isn't here to tell you, he is VERY proud of all of you. I love you guys so much, and i know that we will all get through this.

I was thinking...it's not just the loved ones we lost that are victims...WE are victims of loss. All family and friends of anyone who lost someone, is also a victim. Maybe not all of us feel the exact pain you and your family are feeling right now. Well actually we will NEVER feel the same pain, but we are all here for you guys.

We have lost a loved one, but remembering his death is not what we should do. We should CELEBRATE the great life he had.

I Love You guys so much!

I was stunned to hear Kevin's name on the radio. I studied with him at Purdue in the mid-80's. He was fun to be around, friendly and welcoming and forthright. He invited me along to watch Purdue beat OSU's archrival Michigan in the only Big 10 football game I managed to take in during my graduate career and was a huge kick to be with. I grieve for his family and the community at large over this loss.

To the family and friends of Kevin Granata,

Please accept my deepest sympathies. I can’t possibly imagine what you may be feeling,
I can only hope that in time your pain will subside a little and that your memories of Kevin will eventually bring a smile to your faces. Until then, be as kind to yourselves as you would be to anyone else who has suffered such a heartbreaking loss. Rest now, grieve now, and allow those who know you and love you do what they can to help you through this tragic time.

My thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of you.
April 20, 2007
May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well-lived.

I am sooo sorry about your senseless loss. Please try and take some comfort in knowing that the state of Virginia.. and the world for that matter... grieves with you. God Bless.
April 19, 2007
Dear Linda and Family,

I have known Kevin since his time at UVa and have followed his work as we share research interests. Most recently, we worked together on the ASB meeting at VT last Sept. We all try to strike the balance between work and family that Kevin so easily did.

The profession of biomechanics is very small and when one star is extinguished, we all notice that the sky is a little darker.

Kevin lived and died a hero.
April 19, 2007
Our hearts are breaking for the tragic ,premature loss of a brilliant, caring husband, father, friend, and professor. We thank God for Dr. Granata, for his life, his work & scholarship, & for impacting many lives (including mentoring and championing our daughter Amy at UVA grad school). His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched. He will be missed. May wonderful memories, family, friend and God ease your pain and loss. Our prayers are with you, dear ones. 1Thes. 4:13-18
April 19, 2007
Linda,

I knew Kevin through Maury and Sarah while I was a faculty member at VT, enjoying his stories of you and your children. I have trouble understanding this senseless tragedy and realize we will never have all the answers we desire. But we do have an answer to the question of what kind of man your husband was: a talented, loving, brave soul. May peace come with time.
April 19, 2007
Mrs. Granata and Family,

I had the pleasure of taking Kevin's Skeletal Biomechanics class when working on my PhD in Sports Medicine at UVa. He had an uncanny ability to help those of us without engineering backgrounds understand mechanics, and help the engineers understand the clinical and physiological concepts. He was the biomechanical advisor on my doctoral dissertation committee and his ability to make me think at a higher level than I ever thought I could achieve still amazes me.

I cannot tell you what a positive influence and role model he was. I wish I could make it to the memorial service, but do know my thoughts and prayers are with you and all of Kevin's friends and family.
April 19, 2007
We are truly sorry for your great loss. Such a senseless tragedy! May God's blessings pour out on your life and as you face the coming days may you feel His great love!
In Christ,
Cabby and Diane Whitt
April 19, 2007
There are no words that appropriately express how senseless was the taking of Kevin Granata's magnificent life. I have seldom had the opportunity to interact with as truly exceptional an individual as he was. While it will never seem like enough, the opportunities to discuss with him not just biomechanics related topics, but matters of family, sports, teaching, and others will forever be cherished. Memories of time spent simply having fun (eating, laughing, even a little dancing) at those occasions when we could be together will be cherished as well. I know that mere words have little chance of healing the emotional wounds of those left behind, but I hope that prayer, love and acts of kindness will lead toward the right direction. The Virginia Tech community has demonstrated enormous capacity in these regards, and their efforts will certainly continue. May God bless the family and friends of Kevin, and the entire Virginia Tech community

With wishes of peace for us all,
Pete Quesada

Dear Linda & family: We join the many others in extending our sympathy to you and your loved ones in the passing of Kevin. We never met Kevin - but remember you when you would come to the "farm in Tavistock Ont. Canada" - time marches on - and as you "ride this wave" in your life - just know that God will grant you all the strength you will need to go from day to day. God Bless - and remember to "Take One Day At A Time".

May God bless you in this time of sorrow.
April 19, 2007
My deepest condolences for such a tragic loss. My prayers are with Dr. Granata's family and friends. Dr. Granata is a hero and I am proud to have known him. I know he made a risky decision to leave the safety of his office, to intervene and to help. This courage, selflessness, and heroism should be glorified. Again, I am so sorry for this tragic loss. My heart goes out to you. May God give you strength.
April 19, 2007
I am so very sorry for the loss of your husband, father, son and friend. From what I have seen on TV he was a great man. Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for everyone at VT. I just want you to know that the nation is thinking of you. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
April 19, 2007
I have left this world
but I am always with you
I have left this world
but I am forever remembered
I have left this world

I have left this world
but I will see you again
I have left this world
but I forever remain with you
April 19, 2007
I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this horrible time.
April 19, 2007
You were a professor with a PhD. Not a military man or a police officer.
Your mission in life was to teach science and make life better for everyone.
Now that you are in Heaven, rather unexpectedly, please watch over those of your loved ones, your friends, and students that they will be able to take the knowledge you imparted to them and use it for the good of all humanity.
Your life was all about teaching --imparting the precious gift of learning, challenging, cultivating the young leaders of the future-- your great gift from God!

You are safely in God's hands! Of that, I have absolutely no doubt whatever.
April 19, 2007
WORDS CANT EXPRESS MY SORROW FOR YOUR FAMILY, MAY HE REST IN PEACE AND YOUR HEARTS WILL GO ON... THINK OF ALL THE GOOD TIMES YOU SHARED AND MAYBE SOME BAD AND IT WILL BRING A SMILE APON YOUR FACE.. MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY
April 19, 2007
I first met Dr. Granata as a 4th year engineering student at UVa. I was looking for an area in which to do research for my fourth year thesis. When I approached him about the possibility of working in his lab, he asked me to stay for my Master's. I was shocked as my grades weren't that great. But he persisted and in turn set my life on a trajectory I never would have guessed or planned. He gave me a chance that I never even would have given myself. I WILL NOT FORGET THAT!

Dear Linda, Alex, Eric, and Ellen,
My heart is breaking for each of you. Your husband and father was a wonderful, brilliant man who gave me and many others the opportunity to learn from him. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

"I lift my eyes up to the mountains. Where does my help come from? It comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will no let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber."
Psalm 121:1-3
April 19, 2007
May God grant you grace and peace, for your burdens continue. Be comforted. Your husband, your father rests in the shadow of the Almighty.
April 19, 2007
As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life’s routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
April 19, 2007
God Bless you and your family during this very sad time. I am praying for you and thinking of you often. May you find peace in the fond memories of your husband, father and friend.
April 19, 2007
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
April 19, 2007
Dr. Granata often wore his cowboy boots to work with his shirt and tie. He wasn't really someone who made a fashion statement, but I always thought that was cool.
April 19, 2007
Linda,

We at Vicon are still shocked by the tragic death of Dr. Kevin Granata. He was a well respected member of the biomechanics research community, and utilized our equipment for many years at Kluge Children's Hospital and then also at Virginia Tech to expand his valuable research. He was a great teacher, scientist, but more than that he was a great individual and a devoted family man.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, family, students, friends and colleagues.

This is a tragedy for all Americans. I know we are thousands of miles away, but we feel your grief and would take it from you if we could. Take one day at a time. It's not true that time will heal. I know that firsthand. But what will carry you is the grace of God and his love that he has for you. And, his strong hand that will gently lead and guide you each day if you trust him. Lean on him for he is strong as we our weak. We're praying for you all that you'll be strengthened and comforted with Gods peace.

Someone gave this to me and I pass faith on to you!

Virginia Tech Family,

"AS YOU TAKE
one step at a time,
HOLDING GOD’S HAND
And letting Him lead,
HE WILL GET YOU
Where you need
TO GO.”

Father God,
I don’t want to take one step without You. I reach up for Your hand and ask that You lead me in Your way. Thank You that no matter where I am right now… You will make a path from where I am to where I need to be, and You will lead me on it. I love that Your grace abounds to me in that way.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
