My deep sympathy to Tice and the children. Fond memories of the times we were in England in 1953.
Dear Brandt Family,
I was privileged to be a part of Dick's life, he was a great friend. Your love for Dick and one another will always be a source of inspiration.
Dear Brandt Family-
We are all saddened by Dick's passing. I owe my career to him as the Dean who hired me and promoted me in the 1970's. He was truly a warm, kind visionary with a great love for people and his work. I hope we will have more people in the world like him. I will personally miss him and the Curry School will always acknowledge him as a foundational piece of the endeavor to create places of extraordinary education
Dear Brant Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. We were privileged to be welcomed, taught, and entertained by Dick a few times in your family home. We are thankful to have known such a kind, hospitable, and talented man.
May our Heavenly Father give you comfort and strength, through the blessings of family and friends.
Love, Nels and Ann Jensen
Dear Brandt Family, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I work at Curry. Six or seven years ago, Dick approached me to discuss some of the work that I was doing. I was so appreciative of his interest and curiosity. In our conversation he made me feel like my ideas were important, special and worth pursuing. I remember thinking that it takes a very special person to make time for these types of conversations. We are grateful for all his contributions to Curry.
We are do sad for our earthly loss of Mr. Brandt. Our solace comes in knowing that he and Rick are once again together.

Dick was one of the kindest and most humble academics I've ever known. He was a prince of a fellow.
Dick was so special and kind. We will miss him. Emmanuel Church won't be the same without him. Our thoughts are with the entire family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
There are some professors one never forgets. During the years of my doctoral studies, Dick was one of my professors, my department chairman, my dean, and my friend. My condolences to all his family.
I am so so sorry to know that you've lost Dick. He was always so cheerful, welcoming and clearly loved his family so much.
Thinking of you all,

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May God keep you in his hands and keep you strong.
Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.
