He broke my heart endlessly when the Yankees always beat the Red Sox in the 50's; yet still he was a fine player and a part of my boyhood that brings a smile to my face.
May he join the rest of those boys in that Iowa cornfield at the "Field of Dreams" where they play the game forever in the peace of their youth.
Thanks Moose.

Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Although sad to learn that Moose is gone, I have good memories of him and other great Yankees. While attending Jr. High School in St. Petersburg, FL., I often skipped school to sneak downtown to watch the Yankees during Spring training. I'll never forget all the great players and how nice they were about signing autographs, which I have to this day. Moose was one of my favorite players.

My deepest sympathies to the Skowron family on the loss of Moose. What a wonderful man he was and am sure that Wimpy was there to greet him. Old friends reunited in eternal life. Moose will be missed by many....God bless you all during this difficult time in your lives.

Along with many of the other alum's from St. Stan's and Weber High, I send my thoughts and prayers to the Skowron family. I had the honor of meeting Moose very briefly, what a class act he was...and as we all know "Weber Men are Gentlemen"

Moose was a kind and generous man and will be remembered by many. He had the big hands and frame of a championship athlete and he always had the pride of a top slugger long after he retired. It was great to meet him and be part of his life. He was a connection to a great bygone era of baseball. My kindest sympathies to the Skowron family.
