Moose was a very nice man. He had the big build and the heart of the major league slugger he was long after he retired. He was a connection to a bygone great era of baseball that will long be remembered. He was a kind and generous man who will be remembered by the many people his life touched. My kindest sympathies to the Skowron family.

What a great loss. I moved to the area and met Moose, what a wonderful person. I will treasure this meeting. We talked about the many things and found out he and my dad had were related. May MOOSE rest in peace. Phyllis Skowron

I met Moose a few times with a "good Friend" in the resturant he owned. His Yankee stories were always great,I told him I bet if he played for the Sox during those years he would of tipped the scale for them and would of meant more Series for this City. He was and should be remembered as a total All-Star and great competitor. He was all Chicago........

As a young child back in 1968 my father brought me to a Yankee old timers game. After the two inning old timer game the former players would watch the game from the stadium. We had box seats about 8 rows up from the visitors dugout. Two gentleman came and sat down next to me and my father. My father asked me if I knew who they were. It was Moose and Gil McDougal. I had a crew cut and I remember Moose rubbing my head and admiring my haircut. He said, "Nice haircut kid". I will always remember that.

I remember Bill when he played for our Chicago White Sox. What a great player he was! He was also such a great representative for our team.

To Bill "Moose" Skowron's loved ones,
May your sweet memories be your consolation.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.
You have my deepest sympathy.
