Conrad Fioretti

AGE: 76 • Montville Twp.

Conrad Fioretti of Pine Brook, NJ passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, June 10, 2013. He was 76 years old. He was also known to his family and friends as "Connie," "Honest Connie" and "Pops." Born and raised in East Harlem, NY, Mr. Fioretti lived the last 47 years of his life in Pine Brook, NJ. Conrad graduated from Manhattan College with a BS in Electrical Engineering in 1959. He went on to earn his MEE at City College of NY in 1965 and his MBA at Farleigh Dickenson University in 1978. Mr. Fioretti worked most of his career as a manager and executive at ITT and Magnavox in their Space Defense Communications area. After retiring, he later joined his sons Peter and Robert working in their real estate development company overseeing their accounting department. He had a very long history of being civically involved in the Pine Brook/Montville area. As a young father he helped coach Bronco football and Little League baseball as well as being involved with the cub scouts. He served for many years on the Montville Township MUA including being Chairmen for a number of them. He was a member of St Pius X Catholic Church since moving to Pine Brook in 1965. He was a daily communicant, served on the finance committee, was an usher and supported the Montville Township Food Pantry since its inception in 2010. He was also a member of UNICO, the Knights of Columbus, the Montville Senior Club and one of the original supporters of Metropolitan State Bank, which is now Lakeland Bank.

Connie leaves behind his close lady friend and special companion, Dot Spinella. He was the devoted father of Peter, Robert (Tina) and John (Kim) and took great joy in his grandchildren, PJ, Arianna, Connor and Marlena. Mr. Fioretti is pre-deceased by his brother, Bruno Fioretti and his parents, Peter Fioretti and Helen Ascione.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Rd. Lake Hiawatha (973-335-4700). The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, June 14, 2013 at St. Pius X R.C. Church, Montville. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made either to Lehigh University on behalf of the Fioretti Family Scholarship, 27 Alumni Memorial Drive West, Bethlehem, Pa. 18015; The Montville Township Food Pantry, P.O. The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
