Judge Steeh was a great man, always helpful to a young lawyer or even a fellow judge. Sage advice was always given with rationality and compassion. I first met him in high school when he was our state senator. He and wife Barbara always had a houseful of students- His laugh was infectious and put everyone at ease. He will be greatly missed by many. Skip & Terri Scandirito

I always appreciated George's friendly manner, even when I teased him about UM/MSU football we always had a good laugh. He was a "touchable" leader, willing to give a word of encouragement to the "lofty" or the "lowly". Bill Goodwin

George was a gentle soul, who always had tremendous compassion for his fellow man. I remember, like it was yesterday, when the phone rang at my parents, Dorothy & Jim Daner, to tell them of Barbara Steeh's untimely death. I will miss his wonderful laugh, his love of the law and the respect he held for all of his friends. My special condolences to George III, a friend for 50 years.
Mary Louise Daner
