I remember the first time I saw a painting by Thomas Kinkade. It took my breath away and I could sit for hours and ponder all the feelings it invoked in me. I have many articles of things decorated by Thom and now, when I pick up a favorite mug or dust off my plate collection, I can't help but dab tears away thinking that even though he gave us so much, it's heartbreaking to realize that there will be no more. I pray for God's comfort for his family and friends. Thom, I will miss you for years to come.

A great loss to the world but now he is in a a better world with his Savior but my heart is saddened for his family. I am from Canada's smallest province, Prince Edward Island and haven't met the author or his family but I was very saddened and pray for the comfort of those he left behind. Dear Thomas Kinkade;
Thank you for the great and godly paintings you created. They have inspired me to do likewise. I believe you suffered much criticism from the art establishment because the darkness has never comprehended the light. Thank you for shining anways. May you R.est I.n P.aradise.
Sincerely,
Jeremiah "Phayth" York

Just heard the news at a local art gallery today. I am so saddened.

We all receive gifts from God, but there are a few that are truly blessed. I have always felt these "special" gifts are given to be shared. Mr. Kinkade certainly shared his gifts with the world and aren't we all "enlightened" because of him. He will be missed, but he is now in the places he painted, because they always reminded me of what heaven looks like.
Rest in Peace, Mr. Kinkade.
