It is truly rare to find a person that was liked by everyone. That was Dain. He respected everyone for who they were and they respected him. A genuinely wonderful person. I'll never forget the time I babysat and Dain ran away on his bike to get candy at Jimmy's newsroom!
I am grateful that I had the pleasure of knowing Dain. While the world lost a soldier and a hero, heaven gained an angel. Deepest sympathies to family and friends.

Dain
You are one of the few good men I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Growing up with you it didnt matter if u were a "jock" "new kid" "outcast" etc you were always nice caring and respectful. You made such an impact on everyone's life and it was always for the better. You've accomplished in your short life what most will never. You are the definition of a HERO. You'll forever be in the hearts of everyone who knew you and severely missed. Thank you for all you have done

My heart goes out to the Venne family

Please accept our deepest condolences on the passing of Dain. Although we did not know him personally our son Greg has told us so much about him. He also is serving with the 444th engineering co and used to ride with Dain from Port Henry to Oswego for training prior to their deployment. Our hearts break for you. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers and we thank you so very much for the sacrifice your family has made. God Bless you now and Always! Dain will forever be a true hero.

Dear Cousin Dain,
I wish you were here. We all miss you a lot. Thank you for serving our country and always doing good things. I remember you helping me with my science test. You asked me how I did on it and I said, "I aced it!" You had a big smile on your face and congratulated me :) I remember us tickling Reagan and her laughing & dog-piling. I love you a lot! From Morgan Baker (9years old)
