Dale, you will be missed by so many people. I pray for you and your family. You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten

I think that the Diamond Rio song "One more day", sums up how this country and race fans around the world are feeling at this moment..We all wish we had one more day with Dale. His legacy will never be forgotten. He has been an inspiration to me since my early childhood, and he continues to guide me even in his death. His lifestyle of how he conducted himself on and off the track, was one that not very many people can match. Like Jerry Punch said, "he was a man's man, and a hero's hero."
He died doing what he loved. We should not grieve for his lose, but rather celebrate his life here on earth, and cherish our memories of him forever. Godspeed Dale.

We will miss you Dale! I hope the fishing is great in Heaven. I know you and Neil are sitting in that boat right now.

As I sit down to right this newsletter it has been almost 48 hrs since the fatal crash that claimed the life of Dale Earnhardt. He has been my favorite driver since I started watching racing in the 80's. I am still stunned and not sure what to say about the accident. We have all watch this man race hard week in and week out and have seen him get out of his
car after horrific looking crashes and walk away. I guess maybe that is
why for me it is so hard to believe he won't be at the next race. It just didn't look that bad but it really was. I know I was waiting to see him climb from the car and start pointing fingers at Sterling Marlin has he went back bye. But he didn't climb from the car. Not this time. To me it was just a racing accident with no one to blame. From watching tv yesterday I saw some people in the media that say when is enough enough and shouldn't Nascar do something to protect the drivers. This is a dangerous sport and every single driver realizes this when they get into the car to race. That is what Nascar racing is all about and with it comes the chance of injury or death. They all except this. Will I continue to
watch racing? Yes, will it be the same? No, at least not for me. Here was a man that I had never met personally but today I feel like a person from my family has past on. When you hear that Nascar is a family sport, it really is. It is not something that they say to boost ratings or to get people to
come and watch their sport it is real and it is what each and every Nascar fan feels deep inside. Like they say the race must go on and Dale would be the first one in line to go again if he could. We will all get through this and go on from this in our own way and time. I am proud to be a member of the Nascar family and part of this sport that we all love so much. My thoughts and prayers are with the Earnhardt family and Richard Childress Racing. Gods speed Dale. Rest in peace.

I grew up watching racing with my family. Dale has been my hero for many years, someone I respected and looked up to, someone who I whole heartedly admired and most of all someone I wished I could be for just one day. I will deeply miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole Earnhardt family. God Bless.
