Alma Pospeshil, My Friend, My Spiritual Sister And Partner

I met Alma at a store front church in Peoria, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix, where Alma and Bob were having a Sunday evening service for some pastor friends. I do not remember the exact date other than sometime in the early fall of 1986, but I certainly remember the service.
It all started a month before my mother and father-in-law had gone to Texas to visit a nephew, Guillermo Ramirez, who happened to be attending Spirit of Truth Fellowship Church, where Alma and Bob were co-pastors. Guillermo took them to the service where they met Alma and Bob and learned of the service in Peoria and decided to go as they lived in Tucson, Arizona. They invited my husband and I to go with them, which we did.
We arrived at the church in Peoria early. Alma and Bob were at the back of the church to greet us. We had some time to visit as we were the first ones there. Alma and I bonded as soon as we met. It was like we had known each other all our lives. Bob gave the message and Alma sang. She had the voice of an angel. Certainly, the presence of the Lord was in that place.
Alma and I began corresponding. It was a relationship that lasted over 25 years+-- until she went to be with the Lord. We shared our lives, the ups and downs, our prayer needs and Praises, Bob's passing, her cancers, everything.
In 1988, Alma shared with me that the Lord had impressed on her to start a paper for women to write and share their thoughts and ideas. Alma asked me to pray about being her partner. I would pray and be a contributor.
Having a background in education and taught Sunday School and lead Bible studies, I prayed and felt the Lord leading me into this new outreach for me to bring others to the Lord.
I shared the idea with Alma and she prayed about it and Women To Women was born. We never discussed what either of us was going to write about, but it was interesting how often we wrote on the same subject.
We just followed His leading. (Later it was changed to Heart to Heart because a lot men were reading and contributing to it.)
We always had the Plan Of Salvation in the paper. It started because Alma was a praying woman, and more importantly, she waited and listened for an answer. Saving souls was the purpose of the letter.
Alma did all the “leg work”. Putting out a 6 page paper every month was no easy task. First and foremost, she prayed every step of the way. She wrote the first page, then read the articles that had been sent, typed them, (many times not enough articles were sent in so she had to find appropriate articles or poems that were by “Author Unknown”. Occasionally, she put a poem that she wrote. God blessed her with a beautiful singing voice and the ability to write poetry and she used that ability to honor Him and lead others to Him), made a lay out, took it to be copied, put the pages together and took them to the post office and paid the postage and mailed. Heart to Heart was free. It was totally dependent on contributions. She never asked for money. In all these years, she never missed getting Heart to Heart in the mail.
Only God knows how many people were saved by Heart to Heart.
The last I heard, at the end of 2012, Alma was mailing 350 copies of Heart to Heart each month. Each copy was shared many times over.
It went to missionaries in at least 5 countries, to prisons in Texas and Missouri (perhaps other states) and nursing homes all of which shared their copies with others.
See what one praying, caring, obedient women can accomplish for God.
Alma, a servant of God, now residing in Heaven and singing with the angel choir.
Let all her descendents know what a great prayer warrior she was.
