I met Andy on July 3, 1967, the day he and I started to work for Delta Air Lines. We sat beside each other for seven weeks of classroom work, and we stayed close forever. We spend many days while staying in his Airstream trailer, hunting, fishing, and snow skiing together. He was and still is my Best Friend Forever.

I have known Andy for over 50 years. We met at Shilling AFB in Salina, KS where we flew the KC-97. Then we went through KC-135 at Castle AFB in Merced, CA. After the AF, Andy went with Delta and I went with Braniff -- both based in Dallas, TX. We even lived together for a short time. We saw lots of good times and some not so good times together.
We will miss the good ole, hardheaded, cantankerous Andy Brown.
Safe flight West to my friend.

Sometimes we called him Andy, sometimes "AP", sometimes "Grandma" but we always called him a good friend. He and I sailed together, did years of ALPA work together, drank together and never failed to laugh together-and that's the thing I will miss the most. No more worrying about contracts or bankruptcies or surgeries, ol' buddy--good flight.
