A friend and mentor to so many people. She dedicated her whole life to serving our Lord and Savior, family, friends, and helping complete strangers. So many of us are mourning her being gone from us, but there is a celebration still going on in Heaven.

She had once told me that if she could ever meet anyone before she passed, it would be Billy Graham. She may not have gotten to meet him, but what a glorious day she had as she entered the gates of heaven with Jesus. I know she is busy in heaven as she watches over all of us that she touched while here on earth.

I love you Mama Day. Till we meet again.

Anna Day and I worked together for many years at the Kent's Nursing Center. She was a brightly glowing presence wherever she went. Funny, stylish, beautiful, flirtatious, smart, her sparkling laugh made you laugh right along with her.

Anna was a wonderful Director of Nursing and a giving, hard working old-time nurse. I remember the day her husband Doug died in our nursing home with our staff at his side, knowing that all her nursing skills could not stop this inevitable heartbreaking loss in her life.

I also remember how she was always there for the nurses and nurse aides that worked with her, and to this day some of them talk fondly to me about her even though it has been almost 17 years since we worked together. We were all family! We had a lot of fun and good times all those years!

Anna never stopped talking about her son Stormy and his wife and her grandchildren. She was so proud of them and closely involved every day in their lives. I know that Anna is getting her great reward now in Heaven for all the giving and loving she did here on earth. I love her and miss her every day.

This was one of the most special women I have ever known. I loved her so much. Everyone that ever met her loved her. There is not a doubt in my mind she is in heaven watching over us all. God Bless Her and her family.
