Ms Jo Ann, Connie, and Family, It is with a very heavy heart that I learned of Bruce's home going. It bring to mind, back sometime at the funeral of another mutual Funeral Director friend of Bruce and mine, a Minister saying "Funeral Directors don't have time to die. They are too busy burying other folks." How many times do we all remember Bruce leading bereaved loved-ones down that long walk to face their final goodbyes. My, My! Bruce was one of that very few select "True Gentlemen" left in this world, and we will miss our true friend and Brother, but only for a short while.

The clock of time, is wound but once,
and no man holds the power,
to know when death may visit him,
at late or early hour,
now is the time for all good men,
to live and work with a will,
place no faith in life tomorrow,
for the hands may then be still.
Remember, The anchor holds! We love you! Mark R Freeman

Bruce was a 5th cousin to my of my late husband, Millard E Hubbard. They grew up together and were close. When Millard passed away in 1969 at age 47 leaving me with 3 children to raise alone, Bruce helped me so much. He was at Southland then. He helped with funeral arrangements, took me to social security to apply for benefits and advised me about so many things. I will always be grateful to him. I only wish we had kept in touch thru the years. He was a wonderful man. May he rest in peace.
