There are some things that just stick and never get lost,
no matter how far away or how long ago memories are always
The best at least some.I guess even the bad ones serve their
Purpose if for nothing else but to make you a better person
In the end. Sometimes you remember certain things for a
Reason but as time goes and things change reasons change.

A conversation with some coworkers about getting our drivers license
Made me think about when I got my license and my driving experiences, one
was pickup Chris after school. Now being asked first
thought was all right! I was going to drive I
could make some blocks let everyone see me driving
Now back in the day everyone didn't get this chance so to
Be seen Rollin, with my jamz blasting (at least I thought I was)
get my gangster lean and be seen. Now from the house to the
School took all of 3 to 5 minutes. the first day Daddy said go
pick Chris up and straight back home go nowhere else,
I was like how am I going to make some blocks and
Be back in time and not get in trouble. Since there was only the
One car and daddy had to be at work by the time school was out
I could pick Chris up and I thought how will he know
If I make some blocks he's at work. Now the other problem
Mother was at home waiting for us to return so no chance
returning to late
So as I was rollin I took advantage of the drive had my mix tape
playing and leaning got to the school pulled up on the curb looked
around to make sure no one saw that but I was cool with it. Sitting
and waiting checking everyone out to see if anyone was checking me out
(kinda silly now when thinking about it) but i was driving. Still thinking
how was i going to get away with taking a ride and not get in trouble.
Well when Chris came out he saw the car came running then stopped
before he made it to the car he was smiling and looking around. When he got to the
car he said “where's Daddy” I told him I was here to pick him up he looked
and said “uh-uhhh” I told him yes I am, again “uh-uhh where's Daddy?
I said get in the car you wasting time we have to go. He opened the back
door still looking for Daddy I laughed and said you riding up front with me
now to ride in the front seat was a privilege meaning you were riding in the
grown up seat. Chris jumped in smiling even bigger now I started the car
turned the music up looked over at Chris already leaning head bopping
as we pulled off Chris said lets make some blocks and had that Chris
smile all over his face, we laughed and I thought problem solved.

Well for those that knew I would yes I got in trouble but the memory made was a
good one and that outweighs the bad any day. We made some blocks
even had some ice cream from Mr. Chicks for those that remember that
place best chiliburger in town. I continued to pick Chris up from school
until he moved back to Dallas but before he left we made a many
blocks. Starting to drive was a good memory but making those blocks
with Chris is a better memory…. things change.

One Love little brother!

Chris, if tears could build a stairway and memories were a lane we would walk right up to Heaven and bring you back again.
No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye; you were gone before we knew it and only God knows why.
Our hearts still ache in sadness and secret tears still flow. What it meant to lose you no one will ever know.
But now we know you want us to mourn for you no more to remember all the happy times life still has so much more in store.
Since you will never be forgotten, we pledge to you today a hallowed place within our hearts is where you will always stay. During the time you lived with us as a child, you were my baby and you will always be my baby and live forever in my heart. Auntie

This is inconceivable, but yet it's true. I have known you for 24 years(met through ex-husband Greg). You are and will remain a good friend to me because who you are and what you stood for transcends death. You will be missed greatly. I have to apply my faith in situations like this. I know you are in the presence of the lord because he imparted his wisdom in you and you share it to all that would listen. Until we meet again dear friend I love you.
Psalm 116:15
The death of one that belongs to the Lord is precious in his sight.
