He was a wonderful man!
April 18, 2016
I have known Craig since I was about 6 or 8 years old. Craig was a friend of my parents and played/coached soccer with my father. Craig would frequently come over to my parent's house to visit and at the time he would often ride a motorcycle. I vividly remember him taking me on my first motorcycle ride and from that moment on I was hooked. So naturally, whenever Craig would come to visit I would beg him to take me for a ride. Instead of him telling me "get out of here kid, you're bothering me," he would always patiently entertain my requests and oblige. Time passes, my parents divorced, my dad passed away in 2008, but my mom and I maintained contact with Craig over the years. Craig was always a kind, gentle soul, a true gentleman and a dear friend. When Craig found out that my father was ill and dying, he went out of his way to take the time and effort to visit him, sit with him and keep him company during his stay in hospice. Though I told him at the time, I doubt that Craig truly knew how much his kindness meant. If the world were filled with more people like this man, it would truly be a far better place. My heartfelt condolences go out to Debra and the Litton family - Craig will indeed be missed by many.

Coach Litton had great expectations for his players and students, and for that I am forever grateful. He was truly a good man, and it was a pleasure to have been able to learn from him as a player. Coach Litton, you will be missed.

Coach Litton was a leader of young men. I loved going to reunion games decades later to see the next generation and re-connect with old friends. You will be missed.
