Dear Cindy, family and friends. Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss. I knew Cindy for four years while in Junior High. I remember seeing her in the 6th grade while in Mrs. Wray's 6th grade class. She had bangs, and long brown hair that flipped on the ends and butterfly glasses. I thought she was the prettiest girl I had ever seen. When in the 7th grade, she finally took notice of me and told someone she liked me, it was a dream come true for me. I finally mustered up the courage to ask her "to go with me" as we said in those days. And she did. So three years we spent our Junior High days together. I know her family must have grown tired of me being over at their house. They had a wonderful family and a great Lake House on Lake Cherokee where we spent a lot of summers. I was in a rock band and Cindy attended most of them but always enjoyed music. She was always pushing the radio buttons while driving the car, changing stations from one song to another (drove me crazy at times and she would just laugh at me). She was always caring and quite concerned about others. She had a great unique laugh. She was a cheerleader and I played football. After home games we would go over to her house and try to find some time alone from her parents and sisters. I remembered gathering at her house to watch the last episode of The Fugitive. I credit Cindy for helping me get through Math. She was as smart as a whip and always had straight "A's". She encouraged me in my studies and really helped me pass. We both had strange sounding names: Hers Mary Lou Cinda and my first name was Leslie. For a guy you could get beat up with that kind of name. So we tried to keep them as much under the radar as possible.Even though we went our separate ways because of families moving to different communities, we always kept up through the neighborhood friends that we had in Longview. And even though we both found our own happiness in life, I don't think you ever forget your first love and the friendships in those formative years of Junior High. I am so grateful for the opportunity of meeting Cindy at such a tender and innocent age. She made me and many people smile and laugh. I will always hold her memory in my heart and be grateful for knowing her. I believe with all my heart she is in the comfort of heaven, God's eternal Kingdom at peace. May God be with all the family, her husband, daughter, sisters and friends. I pray that you find peace as you work through your grief in the days and nights ahead. It will not be easy for Cindy's passing leaves us numb and many emotions. My prayers are with you all as you move forward with your lives. I do believe she is alive and completely healed and made whole and will be as close as breath every time we recall our moments with her. God bless dear Cindy and all her family.

I love and miss my sister more than words can ever express. She was a great Mother to Taylor Anne Morgan, loving wife to Tom, fantastic sister to Betsi & I and a fun Aunt to Shannon, Shelby & Sheridan Schaefer. She loved to give us all her pearls of wisdom - be it guiding the girls through college or finding just the right outfit for us all! She kept our family tradition of new Christmas pajamas going each year. Sometimes it's the little things like that in life that really make a difference. I am so grateful she blessed my life and that I have such a wonderful, close family to pull us all through this time of deep loss. You are missed my dear sister and know that you are forever planted in all the lives of family and friends. xo
