This Guest Book will remain online permanently courtesy of Carol W. Byrd, his widow.

I knew Don back in the 1940's at Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas. We were in the same history class. He was an amazing artist, I remember
him drawing U. S. fighter planes with great precision. He is a friend I have not seen in many decades, but I still remember him.

My condolences go out to his family, a wonderful man is now in heaven. "What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal."

On behalf of Chief Raymond D. Schultz and the Albuquerque Police Department family, we express our deepest condolences.

As members of the Albuquerque Police Department family, we serve together, we laugh together and we cry together.

Today, we stand with you and pray you will find comfort in your faith in God as “he leads you beside still waters and restores your soul.” (Psalm 23:2, 3)

Thank you Chief Byrd for your faithful service to our Department and community.
