DEAR CHARLES, I SURE WISH I WOULD HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THIS....I LOVED YOUR MOTHER VERY MUCH....AND I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH, JEANNE ELLEN
September 17, 2017
Charles, Cheryl, Trey and family....John and I were saddened to learn of Dorothy's passing when Charlotte sent us this news. Dorothy and Tom were a big part of John's life and eventually of what became our life. John and Tommy were very close friends for many years. We know she will be missed by all of you in various ways, but we hope you find comfort in knowing the joy and kindness she brought to those who knew her over the years. Our thoughts are with all of you as you go through this difficult time. Love, Cindy and John McMahan

The things that I will remember about Dorothy or as my oldest son Paul named her when he was 3 years old, She will always be MaMother. However my story with Dorothy started 25 years ago. I started dating Trey her oldest grandson when we were teenagers. I think the first time she met me she gifted me with a bottle of perfume. Five years later I married her son and was then officially adopted by them. When we knew that we were to have a girl she was over the moon. She had never had a girl. When I told her I wanted to name her Emily she said great but what about the middle name. Then she suggested I use my Name for her middle. So Emily Nicole it was. It made sense since we did name our first Paul Thomas. Our youngest child Ryan also had a special relationship with Ma Mother. We will always miss her special way of doing things like singing to the kids for each of their birthdays over the phone. I will especially miss filling her in on their school activities and Paul's running. So Rest in peace Ma Mother and tell G-Daddy, Tommy, and John hello and we miss them all.
Love Nicole
