Today I mourn the loss of a True Man who knew how to love us all! Earl became a Dad to us all! To you, Dad, I salute! You were a a patriot for God's kingdom of love. You took us all in as your family; showing forth the gift of adoption God so freely bestows us. You loved me in a way that surmounts flesh & blood... in the way Christ loved us. Your arms were always wide enough for one more daughter, one more son, one more friend. Your heart will live on through all of us that you touched. I am forever grateful for your fatherly care of me & my children and especially my mother. To you, to the life you lived and shared, a big "WOW!!" Words cannot describe how you have made a difference in my life..... I could go on & on about the time you invested in me; my joys & heartaches. You were there when I needed a Dad like you the most! A true Godsend to all who knew you! You never paraded yourself but you were all about others, always wanting us to take the spotlight. You were the ultimate cheer team wherever you went. Countless lives have been warmed by your care & love. You lived, not with perfection but perfect love! You were honest, true & real; a real commodity these days. I, or should I speak for all, will treasure you FOREVER! I will miss you so.... Because of you I will carry a Song in my heart always Dad. We Love you Forever & Always!!! Your daughter, Joella

The obituary speaks the truth about Earl. I knew him mostly 30-35 years ago when he was my uncle Bob's fishing buddy and later when he married my aunt Barbra. When my uncle Bob died, Earl treated me like a favorite nephew. I was fortunate enough to have reconnected with him via Facebook and even had a good long phone conversation with him a few months ago. I don't think he ever even mentioned his fragile condition. He talked about his family and asked about mine instead. I will always remember his kindness, his positive energy, and how he enjoyed life and how he made everyone around him feel better about themselves and about life.
