We were 14 when we met in school in Switzerland even though we were both from Dallas. Ever since then we have remained BFF and all that entails. Elena always listened, loved, laughed and honestly spoke her mind with me as I'm certain she did with all who were close to her. She was a truly special woman that will be forever missed by me and I believe all who knew her.

Elena was one of my oldest dearest friends. We met during Junior League Placement & shared many funny stories from our experience. Elena was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and a wonderful friend. Elena had the ability to make everyone feel special in her presence-- she had always had a twinkle in her eye, a great sense of humor and a generous spirit. She was truly Doug's soul mate. I will miss "Me Elena"

Exactly fifty years ago Elena and I were in school together at Ecole Brillantmont in Lausanne, Switzerland. Rachel,Elena's mother, was also living in Switzerland at that time. Rachel and Elena were so wonderful to include me in several of their trips around Europe. The three of us drove from Lausanne to Paris for Thanksgiving break. Then had two fabulous weeks together skiing and ice skating in a small alpine village during Christmas and New Years.
Through the many years sice we have stayed in touch getting together whenever possible. Elena's kindness and generousity has always astounded me. I feel truly blesed she included me as one of her life long friends.

Aunt Elena was one of the most gracious, generous, and proper ladies I've ever had the honor of knowing. Her smile and hugs had a way of making you feel like part of her family from the first moment you met her. John and I are grateful that our children had the opportunity to know such a wonderful Aunt. She will surely be missed.

Elena was a remarkable human being, loved and admired. I speak from several directions in that we both taught languages at Ursuline. My late mother and founder of All Aboard Travel Fran Beard told me we played together as little children since our parents were friends. Later, Elena worked for Mother at All Aboard. Now, I'm President of All Aboard, and I'm sure Mother has been there to greet Elena in heaven. My condolences to all of her family. With love,
