Dear Zach, Larry and Kali,
It may seem strange that I am writing in Elizabeth's guestbook so many years removed. I felt a need to say something. My condolences of course.
The reason I was led to her obituary is because I was reading my daughter's obituary and guestbook from her passing nearly 7 years ago in October of 2010.
Kali, you signed our Kate's guestbook.
Though we have never met, we share the loss of an accomplished and beautiful daughter. For me, the hole is always there. The pain is still sometimes very fresh. But I also hear messages from our beautiful cheerleaders! You see, Kate saw me crying one day about a decision I had made following a call from God. I didn't understand at the time, why my "calling" would take me away from home and my family. Kate said to me lovingly, "everything is going to be okay, Dad... I just know it."
Today, I still hear her words of encouragement whenever I need them most!
I hope you all have found some of this peace in the many years since our daughter's deaths. It is a peace that surpasses all understanding. When we choose to see God even in the midst of our hardest trials. Love to you all.
