He was a nice old man. An out of the way old man. He did not have a bad tember like old man Earl Mann did. That is why he lived a long life.

Taught with him at SG in the 70's,never heard him have a negative comment. Truly a fine man.

Awful sorry to hear about Chief. Didn't know him well and only met him a handful of times once he moved to Austin. He seems to have been loved and respected by many. Sounds like he helped a lot of people over the years. He impressed me as a gracious man.

I coached with Chief during the Jim Dodson days at SGHS. The most gracious and well spoke man I ever knew. He was a man of few words, but when he spoke, everyone listened. We have all lost an important part of our lives. He will be long missed.
