RUCKER, William William E. Rucker 78, of Bonita Springs, FL died Saturday, April 22, 2017 at his residence. He was born April 20, 1939 in Fort Worth, TX the son of the late Thomas M. and Margaret (nee Estes) Rucker. He had been a resident of Bonita Springs since 2000 coming from Minneapolis, MN. Bill grew up in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1957. Bill had a deep passion for travel, photography, deep sea fishing, boating and a lifelong love of Texas. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn Rucker of Bonita Springs, FL; two daughters, Laurel Shuman and her husband, Mitchell of Lafayette, CO and Elizabeth O'Donoghue and her husband, Patrick of Wilmette, IL; two sisters, Peggy (Ray) Hill of Dallas, TX and Susan (Mark) Miller of Denton, TX and 5 grandchildren: Dillon Jensen, Calli Praner, Norah Shuman, Genevieve Shuman, Theodore O'Donoghue. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Carrie Rucker and his brother, Robert Rucker. Memorial service and burial will be held in Logansport, Indiana on June 10, 2017. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Salvation Army National Headquarters 615 Slaters Lane P.O.
