My sympathy and condolences in the loss of Freda Gail Stern --- appreciated for all of her community service, but especially service to the Dallas Public Library for which I once had responsibility and since have had an earnest interest in it. I was saddened by the report, but these memories will assure that she wont be forgotten.

Condolences to all family and friends of Freda Gail -- such an extraordinary person, and such a loss. We met years ago and reconnected when she came to support a refugee advocacy concert at Temple Shalom, benefiting International Rescue Committee Dallas -- then several other events in common. Wish we'd had more time to catch up. Attended Freda Gail's beautiful memorial service at Temple Emanu-El, and glad to meet some of the family. May her memory be a blessing, always.

I am so sorry to hear about Freda Gail's death. She was my neighbor for many years on Lavendale, and recently we have enjoyed reconnecting at the bridge table. She was always an inspiration, and full of life and joy. May her memory be a blessing to you.

I have only become friends with Freda in the last couple of years, meeting her at the bridge table. Seeing this took my breath away because I saw her only a month (if not weeks) ago and she was so vital! She always won at bridge, not only because she was brilliant (and she was), but she always (I mean always) made you laugh and forget the cards. I am sad today and extend my sincerest sympathy to Freda's family.
