Godspeed Fred Meyer,

Yesterday i was informed of Fred's passing. Today it struck me with unbelievable sadness. We have lost a great great man that i looked up to immensely. Fred's attitude, honor, strength and commitment were beyond reproach. I drove with Fred in 1997 on the RealTime Racing Team. As a true mark of just how great Fred was he was down to earth and approachable during our time together. Only later did i come to understand Fred's accomplishments in the Community and Business world. Fred stood out before that was even part of the equation. I stayed in Touch with Fred visiting him at one of his companies Aladdin in Tennessee and in Dallas on a occasion. We stayed in touch every so often. I am better man because of Fred's impact on my life. My deepest condolences to his family I know his loss is unimaginable.

Sincerely

I had the pleasure of being associated with Fred as a member of the Aladdin Industries BOD. For twenty years. I always looked forward to those meetings. In difficult times Fred Always had a plan. He was a positive. Leader who always had time for the employees at all levels.
He certainly left his mark and will be missed

I had the honor of meeting Fred and his sweet wife, Barbara, when I worked for the Grand Prix of Dallas Auto Racing. Fred was starting out in his auto racing career and drove in our Celebrity Race. Since Buddy Boren and I both were "card carrying Republicans", you must know how excited we were to have him in the race. He was so very kind and easy to work with. Texas has lost a wonderful man and leader. I am sure Fred, Buddy and Carrol Shelby must be having a great reunion...Love to his wonderful family. May our Lord Jesus Christ give you comfort in your time of sadness.

Dear Barbara, Amy and Cheri, I am so saddened to know that your husband (father) has moved on to his new campaign. Fred was an amazing man. He drove for my RealTime Racing team for seven years, from 1996-2002. But he was much more than a driver. For the last 16 years, Fred was my mentor, providing invaluable advice on both business and personal matters. He was RTR's number one fan and attended races whenever his busy schedule permitted. His loss is the worst I have ever known.

Fred was loved by his church family. With all his accomplishments, the source and center was his faith. It was a privilege to be his pastor and friend.

It was and honor and pleasure to know and work for Fred at the Republican Party of Texas in the late 80's and early 90's.He was a great leader and led by example. He and I are 2years apart in age and shared many beliefs, both political and religous.I will always remember his respect for his fellow man and women. He was a real role model of a fine thoughtful hard working patriot who was devoted to his family, his political party and his country. None of use will ever know how many people Fred helped when they were down but more importantly God knows. So respectively because of the Faith we share I say Goodbye for now but when we meet again I will be ready to work with you and for you again.
