Fred was loved by his church family. With all his accomplishments, the source and center was his faith. It was a privilege to be his pastor and friend.

It was and honor and pleasure to know and work for Fred at the Republican Party of Texas in the late 80's and early 90's.He was a great leader and led by example. He and I are 2years apart in age and shared many beliefs, both political and religous.I will always remember his respect for his fellow man and women. He was a real role model of a fine thoughtful hard working patriot who was devoted to his family, his political party and his country. None of use will ever know how many people Fred helped when they were down but more importantly God knows. So respectively because of the Faith we share I say Goodbye for now but when we meet again I will be ready to work with you and for you again.

Sincere condolences on Fred's passing.

He was an outstanding leader of the Dallas and Texas Republican Parties and led a GOP surge in the 1980's-2000's.

May God Bless Fred and the Family.

Barbara, Cheri, and Amy,
So very sorry to hear of Fred's passing. So many memories! I guess the last time the Thompsons saw the Meyers was on a trip to your new home in Dallas. We missed you terribly in the old neighborhood. Mary and I always loved heading up the "hill" to play. Our dads were great men and both are missed terribly. Brad, too, was taken WAY too soon. My favorite memory will always be our "marriage" in the culvert under Skymont. Alan Moore officiated! We were probably five at the time. I pray for your comfort in this time of grief. God gives us memories so that those we love are always there.
