With sympathy...god be with family and friends.... but I'll bet the Meredith boys are having a blast together again right now.
Because we moved from Dallas to Colorado, I just learned about Jack's passing. As you know, Joy, Jack & I had very close relationships at IBM and Docutel, but our personal relationship meant more to me than all of those. Through Jack I met Don who was quarterback at SMU at the time. All of this led to many experiences with the Dallas Cowboys. I am so sorry that Jack was unable to enjoy his family and friends during the later years. He and Don are a part of my family history story that I am working on. Marian & I wish the best for you, Joy, and for your famiy.
Jack will always be one of the special people who will live on in my memory with love and laughter. Susan Meredith
My first career position after graduation was at Docutel. Thanks to an energetic and supportive environment we all learned a lot and had fun doing it. My memories of Jack's company are warm ones. Count me among those who appreciated Jack's leadership and the belief that anything was possible.
I miss you Dad, I hope you know that
Dear Joy and Family
We are so saddened to hear of Jack's passing. You and your family have always been very special to us. Jack was such a positive person, you couldn't help but like him. We had many fun experiences together over the years and they will stay in our memory.
Bless you and know that we care.

Joy, I have so many happy memories of you and Jack and laughing at the stories of their childhood that Jack and Don used to tell. My husband also has alzheimers and is in CCYoung Memory Care facility now. He was diagnosed in 2007 and I easily cared for him at home until he got pneumonia in November of last year which accellerated the Alz. My heart goes out to you and your family, my friend.
I worked for Docutel for close to ten years and really enjoyed working for Jack. He was gracious, kind, generous and extremely fun to work with and for. It was a time that I truly enjoyed going to work daily and it was mostly because of Jack. Our deepest sympathy to Joy and her family. Our prayers are with you Joy, God Bless you.
Data Processing at Texas Bank & Trust thanks for Jack's being there for us with TBM thanks for the memories, May God Bless
I knew Jack when he worked for IBM in Dallas, I worked for Texas Bank & Trust in the 1960's. I live now in Mt Pleasant Tx. May God Bless your family
Plain and simple , Mr. Meredith was one of the great one's. I learned a lot from him. This line in his obituary is so so true "...He was a unique and irreplaceable person ..."
God Bless Mrs. Meredith, Joe, Jim, Mindy and All...
Billy Jack was a good friend of my father-in-law, Joe W. Matthews. They played many rounds of golf at Bent Tree and included me on many occasions. I played with Joe, Billy Jack and his brother Don one year in the Member Guest tournament and I'm still laughing. It was one of the most enjoyable rounds of golf ever for me.
I was privileged to work at Docutel Corp for 12 years. Mr. Meredith's company was truly a special place to work. There was never a day I didn't actually look forward to going to work. He was such a special leader; one of a kind. What an astute, professional, yet deeply caring and humble man. And also a good story teller. He could easily captivate you with his stories from his childhood, with humor that will be unforgotten. God be with his beautiful family at this time. Rest in peace, Mr. Meredith.
For about ten years, I worked at Docutel. Mr. Meredith led through respect, never with intimidation! His warmth, kindness and wit, forever keeps his memory with one. It is very sad that his love ones had to lose him twice, first to alzheimer.
My thoughts are with all of Billy Jack's family and friends. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his amazing smile and fabulous sense of humor.
What a truly great father in law Jack was for so many years. He touched my life in so many ways and what a special grandfather to my 3 children. We will all miss our Popper.
What a great father in law for so many years. He really touched my life and most of all the memories that all 3 of my children will have. Loved him.
He recited the Apostles' Creed a few thousand times at the Methodist Church in Mt.Vernon and since you have to believe it only once, he' now with The Lord.
For 10 years I worked for Docutel Corporation. Mr. Meredith was my mentors and as President he treated all his employees with respect. I greatley admired him and loved his sense of humor. I'm sure he will be greatley missed. May your family find comfort in knowing how very special he was.
I have a lot of high school memories with Jack and his family. We were very good friends. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
He was everything a girl needs in a grandfather. I have been so blessed to have had him in my life. I will miss him so much.
Honored to know and care for him and his beaiutiful family in his last five years. Love to his family.
I was honored to know my Don's true hero, his older brother Billy Jack. The gift of creating laughter and happiness was shared by each of them and all who knew them had a bit more glee in their lives for being with each of them. I treasure the entire Meredith family and will keep the beloved Jack in my heart forever. Susan Meredith
He was what a friend was.
I worked for Jack at IBM in Houston and then for him at Docutel. I agree with everyone who remembers his charm and wit. Especially when someone would mention brother "Dandy Don". Jack would remind you that, "I was the real football player in the family."
