I flew co-pilot for Fred many times during our time with American Airlines. What a wonderful pilot and gentleman. I just cannot say enough good things about the exceptional man.
Dear Marlene and family,
I was a '66 hire and flew often with Fred. It was always a pleasure to fly with a skilled aviator who was also a great guy. Many pleasant memories. May God be your pillar of strength during these trying times.
Fred and I were 59 hire classmates and last visited years back at reunions. He was a good friend and true gentleman.
I only met Fred a few times, but he was always gracious and kind. His legacy lives on in Jeff, a friend of mine now for almost 30 years. My thoughts go out to all his survivors.
Please accept my deepest condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I'm sure his memory will live long in your thoughts and that will sustain you for the rest of your days.
Gayla Halbrecht and family
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Fred was definitely one of the good guys. He will be missed at our WM Support Group meetings.
My sincere sympathy in the loss of your loved one. Fred was truly a wonderful human being. I really enjoyed being around Fred during our Waldenstom's meetings at Baylor. He really was a great example of what God intends us to be. Fred always had a kind word to say, and was very supportive of others, even during his own trials with WM. He never complained, even if he didn't feel the best at the time. His great example of commendable character is beyond words. Fred will truly be missed. Bless each family member and friend at this time of loss.
I am shocked and saddened to hear that Fred died. Had I known, I would have been at his funeral. I always looked forward to seeing his smiling face at the gym. I so admired his still wanting to work out at his age as much as he did. What a role model he was! I am so very sorry, Marlene, Lauren and Steve. May he rest in peace.
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family Marlene and Jill, may you find comfort and strength in the memories you have of Fred.
Sincerely, Howard and June Knight
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Fischer family. May God be with you, and may the love of friends and family carry you through this difficult time.
To the Fischer Family, We are thinking of you an praying for you. Javier and I just read Mr. Fischer's obituary. He sounds like a remarkable man. Take care of each other. Julie Linares and Javier Gonzalez
My thoughts and prayers go out to the immediate family of Fred Fischer. He is my mother's cousin's husband but is more like an Uncle to me. He and Marlene always came down to Austin to celebrate and support my family. And as my wife Cindy has said, he always took the time to talk to you and listen as well. I feel fortunate that my dad and I got to have a great conversation with him the last time he and Marlene came to Austin. And then it continued on the back porch with more family. What a great man. It sometimes feels like people like him are few and far between. His memory will continue on.
