Jim was quite simply one of the most decent and big-hearted people I've ever met. It was a true honor to have known him. I hope his legacy of making this world a better place for others will provide comfort for your grief, and live on in your hearts.
Martha, Nora, and family Jim was a friend to many. Your entire family was part of what made Everman special for so many of us. My aunt Eva and uncle George thought Jimmy was really special. I think he was at their place almost every day when he was in high school.
To all of the Neill family, my sincere sympathies on the passing of Jim. Jim was valedictorian and I was salutatorian of the
Everman class of 1962. I last saw him at our
10-year class reunion that his sister Martha
planned for her class and ours, as I remember.Jim and Jim Bishop, Pat Splitts, and myself used to study together sometimes at the Splitt's house when we were in High School.I really don't think Jim had to ever
study that hard..he was super-smart! and funny..Great to be around..and obviously had
a life well-lived..I know his family was blessed to have him.
To the Neill family, I was saddened to learn today of Jim's passing. I know you have many fond memories of your time together with him. May God's love and compassion sustain you through this very painful and difficult time.
Jimmy was my very first 'boyfriend' - in first grade at Everman!! We were also neighbors; we and our sisters were playmates. Lots of fun times.
My sincerest condolences.
Martha and Nora, my condolences to you and your family as well as Jim's family.
You made a "job" an extra special job. We all loved working with you. You are and always will be a very special friend. My deepest sympathy to Wanda, Edwin and his family. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Glad you were able to spend time with the boys.
You were a perfect role model for me! You gave me so much support while I lived in Dallas. I am going to miss your incredible sense of humor! Love you and my thoughts and prayers are with your sweet family!
Jim was a true gentleman - blessed with talent and grace.
