John was a great guy. He still has friends in Richmond, VA that remember him fondly. His zoysia grass still makes me smile when I drive by.
Sheila and family......we were very sad to hear about John....a great childhood friend....we have great memories...you and family have our deepest sympathy ... Cousin Joe and Agnes
John-my good buddy. I'll miss you
John was the best boss and mentor anyone could have in their career. But more importantly, he was a great friend. We had many conversations on work, family, and the importance of loving your career. One of my disappointments was loosing contact with John after we left The Hartford. Sheila, you and your family are in my thoughts.
John, was very special. He saved my carrier with The Hartford. We had great moments.
I have many fond memories of my late husband and myself and Shelia and John at the Hartford conferences...my thoughts and prayers are with you Shelia and family. Sandy Peterson
John and I worked together for all of his 18years at the Hartford. Joyce and I also shared many personal moments with John and Shella at industry conferences. We shall miss him and his great laugh dearly.
John hired me at Hartford when I was 21 years old. I admired and respected the gentlemen that he was. My fellow Hartford colleagues and I were able to have lunch with him two years ago. We were so grateful that John was able to make it for that visit. John, you will be missed.
My thoughts are with Sheila, their children and grandchildren.
John was my boss for a good share of my 10 years with Hartford, and there couldn't have been a better one. I am thorougly saddened by his passing, and wish the best to Sheila and their family.
John was a man of whom Denny and I were very fond. He was not only my boss, but also a valued friend and respected mentor in both my business and personal life. He will be missed.
