I remember Coach Joe fondly. I was your neighbor and often the babysitter in Seminole many years ago. I also helped him teach swimming lessons for which my pay was his teaching me to dive. He was a great man who inspired his students to do more than we thought possible. My thoughts are with you, Naomi, and your children.
My dearest friend, Naomi, I just learned of Joe's death, and am angry that we never had the chance to sit around together with y'all and know one another. I still have pictures from your wedding.
I am praying for you.
As a former student and player you will be missed. Thank you for giving.
Rest in peace coach joe. You will be missed.
THIS MAN WAS ONE OF THE GREATEST MOTIVATORS IN THE WORLD! I have missed him ever since leaving W.T. White (Class '87). In fact, we can't mention W.T. White without mentioning Coach Joe. Basketball may not have been his coaching of choice, but he once stepped in to give the JV team some great leadership and a fighting chance for the season. I remember getting our hats brought to us against a rival school. Coach Joe called a time out and said, "Listen, we may not win this game, but we are going to score more points than we have ever scored." Guess what? We did! And we never scored as many points afterwards. I wish Coach Joe's family ten times the joy and goodness he brought to those he met.
Gonna miss you coach!
Proud to have had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Mastrogiovanni many years ago. After perusing the guest book, I realize he remained the same man throughout the years. Thinking of the whole family. Love, Lori
Joe was an extraordinary man and I will him sorely. I have had the pleasure of being his and Naomi's neighbor many years and got to know this gentle, funny, and smart man. I will miss his easy smile and kind words. May he rest in peace eternal. I pray that his family be comforted in this period of grief. God bless.
My heart is hurting with this news of
Joe. He was always a deep friend and
advisor.In1951 while I was on a football scholarship at the University of Wyoming I asked the football coach
Bowden Wyatt to award a scholarship to
Joe since I played against him in Brooklyn NY. Joe then came to Wyoming and an everlasting friendship was born.
I truly loved the man.He will always be in my heart God bless him and his family. JOHN lENIHAN,cINCINNATI,oHIO
Coach Joe will be dearly missed. He always had a kind word of encouragement for everybody.
Dear Mrs. Mastrogiovanni,
My Dad, George Galuska, told me of Joe's passing yesterday when we talked on the phone. My thoughts and prayers are with you - we grew up hearing all about "Mastro" as Dad told old football stories from U of Wyo. Those stories are legendary!
Coach Joe was a grate man.coach joe made alot of young man into grown man.

Coach Joe was an awesome man and educator. My prayers to his family... K. Manny - Class of 1994
Joe was a great Biology cohort with me years ago. I adored him and he was an outstanding teacher at WT with me. With adoration and sympathy for this man and his family.
To the Mastrogiovanni family,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. What a wonderful, compassionate, and caring mentor Coach Joe was. He was my biology teacher and coach on the golf team. I learned so much from him, not only in the classroom and on the golf course, but in life. He was a shining example of what we all should strive to be. Praying for your family's peace and comfort during this difficult time.
Rest in Peace Coach Joe. You will be missed.
Wow! I remember and respect Coach Joe. He was my teacher and my coach. He will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace Coach!

Coach...you helped all of us feel like a great student in your class and you brought humor and fun to Biology. We were lucky to have had you as a teacher in our lives..
Not only was Coach Joe an excellent coach and teacher, but he was an even greater coach and teacher of life. He will be sorely missed.
Rest in Peace, Coach Joe and may God grant peace to your family and friends.
