Mr. Adams was Vice President of Exploration for Amoco's Houston Region when I joined the company in 1973, but he took time to have lunch with me and a couple of other beginners to answer questions and impart some advice. I was sorry to see him leave Amoco, and sad now to hear of his passing.
Dear Adams Family: I am so sorry to read in the Clay Center Dispatch about Bill's passing. We were childhood friends and school class mates. Both attending KU at the same time and enlisting in the Navy together and on to boot camp and applying for OCS at Newport, RI. We did many fun things together while in boot camp in San Diego and got together many times after OCS. Bill was a great friend and I truly admired his career and outstanding success. I will miss him and will always remember the Adams family.
Mr. Adams was the first "executive" I worked with that made you feel like an equal. His kind words and supportive nature were a blessing. He will be missed by many.
My deepest sympathies are with the Adams family at the loss of a great husband, father and grandfather.
My prayers are with the Adams family.
