Dr. Waites was one of the finest, most humble, and generous people I have ever known. He was the champion of children with dyslexia, and is responsible for the enhancement of the education of thousands of children with dyslexia, and their families. He is also responsible for enlightening doctors, families, and educators by helping them understand that dyslexia is a medical problem with an educational solution. The number of academic language therapists, teachers, school administrators and fellow doctors who have benefitted from his wisdom is untold. I am so proud to say that he was my friend and mentor. We will miss you so much, Dr. Waites. Thank you.
