Ray Huttel

Sadness filled my heart when I heard about the passing of Dr. Huttel. I can only imagine how difficult this time must be for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Dr. Huttel exemplified the meaning of dedication. She was always committed to what she believed in and encouraged her students to do the same. She will do anything to help anyone in need. For example, she sacrificed her time by driving from Lubbock to help the Abilene nursing class of 2012 learn all about Community. Personally, Dr. Huttel made a positive impact on my life by encouraging me to keep pushing forward. I felt privileged to learn from such a great person. She always knew how to break down a specific topic that was hard to grasp and make it more understandable. I will never forget the positive contribution Dr. Huttel made to the Abilene campus. I had the priviledge of being one of Dr. Huttel's students, however short of a time it was, I know my nursing experience was better with her there. You will be forever missed by the 2012 Nursing Graduates from Texas Tech!!
