I think of my special friend Janet quite often, especially around the time she went Home to be with her Savior and Lord who she loved with all her heart. I miss her so much and the many ways she touched my life personally as well as so many others. Her presence with our Home Team activities and gatherings just aren't the same without her.

Janet had a true servant's heart.
Where there was a need there is where you would find Janet. That is how I first really met Janet. I was in dire need of a car battery but without finances. Our group had met at a lady's home and I had mentioned that I might need help getting my car started because of my battery. Up to that point I really didn't know Janet but as I started to leave, she followed me and wanted to bless me financially. The morning that I had broken my hip, Janet was the first one at the hospital checking on me and asking how she could help. Many times when Janet knew I was at a low place in my life, I would go to the mailbox to find a card with her words of encouragement. I saw this side of Janet throughout the rest of her life, not just in my life but in other lives as well.

Joanne, she loved you dearly with the same kind of love that my sister shared for me. Maybe they have met each other in Heaven. I know with all my heart each our sisters is each waiting to welcome her special sister to our eternal home where we will never have to be separated again.

I miss Janet when I am returning from being with my family just at the point I would exit to go to her home. Until we meet again in Heaven when God calls me home to Heaven, Janet will always be part of the special friendships with whom God blessed my life.

Joanne, you still and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. You are loved by the same ladies who loved your sister so dearly. God bless you with His presence and love.
