To the family of SSGT Jeremie S. Border, I am so sorry for your loss. There are few words adequate to express my sadness or gratitude for his military service. He seems like a young man who accomplished so much in his life and lived it well.

Dear Mary Lynn,
There are no words to express the sadness we feel for you and your family. Losing your precious Jeremie has to be the most painful experience you have had to endure. Just know all the Jeff Tarpley family is thinking of you and wishing this were not so. Wish we could hit the rewind button and make it not so. Can't stop thinking of you and hurting for you. Know we love you.

To say that Jeremie died a hero is beyond a major understatement. He was much more than that. And now, he is also a legacy. Its been an honor knowing him over 20 years. The thought of losing someone as beautiful and caring as Jeremie leaves me understandably heartbroken, but makes me that much more grateful for the time we spent as friends, and even more eager to see him again one day. No words can heal the loss of such an amazing man but I truly pray you find comfort in knowing that you raised such a courageous, noble, selfless, and immaculate man as Jeremie. To Jeremie's parents, the life you placed on this Earth gave hope that greatness still exists. And the legacy of the life he lived, guides our hope to grow much greater. My deepest condolences to all his family. Be Proud.
