It was the shocking news that brought tears to my eyes.
On that dreadful day, you made me remember what it was like to cry.
God decided it was your time to go.
He took your life away and everyone felt the pain.
I sometimes still dont believe that you are not here.
Life's harder than I ever thought it could be without you.
But dont worry, the family will always think of you.
We'll always know that you'll be looking down on us keeping us safe, making sure everything goes okay in our lives, and making sure that we live good lives.
God decided that it was your time to goand we cried.
I hope you were watching the day the family gathered around your casket.
We were all there to show you that we cared about you.
We still sit here and think about you.
We all miss you.
We want you to come back home.
We want you back in our lives.
But we know that cant happen,
So for now you are our special angel until we see you again.

My little cousin you are greatly missed. And you will always have that special place in my heart. You never had anything negative to say to me. and always made me laugh. I know one day we will meet again. "LOVE YOU CUZ"

Valerie has asked that we write in here for your kids to read later. If I could tell them one thing about the man I knew you were was that your love for them was strong and genuine. You were without a doubt. One of the most genuine nice men I had ever known. I remember meeting you for the first time. We picked you up down the street from grandmas. You instantly became my brother for life. You used to tell me I was hard headed and that I don't listen. I don't. You were right. There I said it.

But I wish we would have had more times together lately. Back in the day, we had so many! We would eat Char Bar and you would talk to me for hours about stuff and make me feel better when I was down. We drove that turquoise car all around dallas with you on a mission and me always laughing at you. You would make me laugh all the time. Hands down you were my best customer at Outback. You taught me about loyalty and you always let me know you were there if i needed you. Knowing that meant more than anything anyone could have ever given me or anyone could have ever offerred me.

Getting to hang out with you a month ago was supposed to happen. I know this now. Being in the hospital and not being able to go to your funeral was very hard but I held on to the memories that we had hanging out that night. I remember you telling me about little Jessie and how big she was getting, and then we talked about Adam and Hunter And how grown they were and how much we both loved them. I'm so glad we got that moment. Valerie and I talk about you all the time too. She's like you. She says I'm crazy. I think the two of you are. :). Having her and Ogle around is fun, makes me feel a little close to you. He reminds me of you in ways. Jesse, so many people loved you. I'm proud of the man you were. Sure, no one is perfect, but I was proud and honored to have you as my friend.

Always making me laugh....I remember one night Christella sending us to get Chicken from Church's by your moms, and they had run out of chicken. You were so mad. But you weren't mean. You wanted to be And you had me laughing so hard talking to those people about how the hell could they run out of chicken and they are a chicken place. It's like you couldn't comprehend and so just to make them give you something, we walked out with three free apple desserts and a coke. I was laughing for days. Your facial expressions and everything I still remember and laugh. Alicia and I were reminiscing too. Man. Those were some good, fun times back in the day.

I'll always remember how genuine you were and how much of an amazing friend you were to me. I will never forget you, ever! And I hope you help me look over my kids from up above. We all need angels in our life to help us and to guide and watch over us, and I choose you.
