I had the honor of being Jodie's friend. She was a truly great lady. We taught together for several years. She helped me through some difficult times and I often called her my other mother. We traveled together and she always put a smile on my face. I send my deepest heartfelt condolences to her family and friends. I was blessed to have her in my life.

My deepest condolences to Jodie's family. I taught with her many years ago at Ben Milam Elementary in Dallas. She was a wonderful teacher and sweet person.

JoAnn was a Dallas school teacher. She and her family moved next door to my family in 1966. I was at the wedding of Stan and Jo Ann, and later the services for her son Clay Calhoun. We worked to get a proper recognition for her brother, Lowry Mays, by the HP Alumni Association, during the time he was Chairman of the Board of Regents of Texas A&M. I knew their mother Virginia Maddox for 25+ years. When I was Election Judge at Hyer JoAnn served as a Clerk. She and Stan were very much appreciated as next door neighbors for a number of years. We are thankful that she was able to remain at her residence, receiving proper care, during her final illness.
