Sorry for the loss of a dear loved one. May you find comfort during this grieving moment. Psalm 105:4.

Dear Carla,
I was so sorry to learn of Joe's death. Having lost Jim in September, I know you have a lot to process and deal with right now...but you are a strong family and your faith will carry you through. You, Celeste and Russell are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love to all,
Nancy Shelton

Joe and I were law school classmates at SMU. He was a brilliant lawyer, mentor, and friend. And he never stopped fighting the good fight. I recall our last conversation at Love Field while waiting to catch a flight. As always, we talked about family and law -- his two abiding passions. May our heavenly father ease your grief and leave only the cherished memories of his loving ways. And may the angels lead him into paradise.

Carla and family: I was so sorry to hear about Joe's passing. I will always remember Joe as larger than life; a rabid Longhorns fan; and with a swagger that could only be rivaled by John Wayne. It makes me smile just to think about him. He loved his family with every fiber of his being, and was so proud of all of you. He will be missed. May God wrap his arms around all of you and provide you comfort.
