Joy was a wonderful ally in the work of racial justice. I am blessed to have labored with her in this work in the North Texas Conference of The UMC. I thank God for her life and ministry. Praying comfort for her family in the days and months ahead.

Carolyn - I worked with your mom for many years at TDMN - she was a sweet, kind and gentle spirit.
I know she will be missed. You and your family will be in my prayers.

Carolyn, Thanks for sharing your mom with me! She was truly a "JOY"! No matter what the situation in life, she always had a smile on her face. She will be missed, but she will forever be in my heart!

Carolyn, your mom was a sweet spirit and kind hearted woman who graced your presence with a smile. I will always remember her gentle nature and her signing in the Sanctuary Choir. As you reflect on her life in the days to come always remember a mother's love never dies.
