Sue Bennett de Zambrano; mis hijos Luis, Andres, Michael y David; mis nueras Angela y Laurie; y mis nietos Olivia, Audrey, Bennett, y Gabriel

To all our family and friends,

On behalf of myself, my sons, daughter-in-laws, and grandchildren, I would like to thank everyone for your love and support during this very sad and difficult time. I have been reflecting on my husband, Luis, and I wanted to share my thoughts with those who knew him and respected him.

Luis was the most interesting, intelligent, enigmatic, and wonderful man I ever knew. We were married for 43 years, and yet I was still learning new things about him every day. He was a man of many interests and talents. He was a philosopher, a teacher, a leader, a friend, and a man who cared deeply for his family and his fellow man. He was a brilliant man who had the uncanny ability to understand and see things clearly. We will miss his vast knowledge of history, his sense of honor, his good humor, and his smile. He will live on forever in our hearts and minds. His children and grandchildren will carry on his legacy.

Thank you, again, for your kind words. I know Luis was proud to call you his friends.

With love and appreciation,

Sue Zambrano; sons Luis, Andres, Michael and David; daughter-in-laws Angela and Laurie; grandchildren Olivia, Audrey, Bennett, and Gabriel.

Estimada Sue:

I just learned of Luis' passing in the SPE JPT. I had the honor of working with Luis 23 years ago in Oklahoma City. He was such a great teacher, mentor, and friend - I learned so much from him. My condolences from my family to Luis' family. He always put his family first and loved all of you very much!
