I have known and loved Ouida longer than most of you have been alive. Ouida and her sister Ruth were my Mother's best friends since they were in elementary school together in Mertzon. My Mother was LaRue Crowell Montgomery. Almost every year we would go to Dallas to visit Ouida or she would come down to Houston to see us. When she started selling Mary Kay, my Mom hosted one of her first Mary Kay parties. I started using Mary Kay when I was 19 and never stopped, 47 years later. I sold Mary Kay for 3 years full time, and part-time for another 3 or 4 years with Ouida as my Director.
My Mom passed away about 17 years ago and Ouida was the closest thing I had to another Mother. I usually called her every month or two to visit and order my Night Cream, but since November I have been working a lot of overtime and have not had a chance to talk to anyone except my immediate family and my church family.
I am just heart-broken to find out she passed away 2 months ago.
I miss you Oui. See you on the other side.
I will love you always.

Quida was a true gift from GOD Almighty. She was good medicine for the sick and lonely. She was comfort for the sad and depressed. She was a true friend and cousin. I just loved to talk to her. She had such life inside her. Only thing is I never got to see her just phone calls and Letters. I will miss you greatly my friend and cousin. She and my Father Charlie F. Sides was good medicine for each other. She told him she is racing him to see who was going to live the longest. And she was not going to allow him to catch up with her. Well that was her way of giving my Daddy the will power to get out of the hospital. I will forever love you Quida. My Mother just loved her too and she would brighten up My Aunt Mary Sides life also. So very sorry for your loss of Quida she will be missed. Remember you are family and always in our hearts and welcome at any time in our lives. Charlie F. Sides, Teresa Sides Peterson, Jack A. Sides, Lawrence A. Sides , Frank W. Sides, Lib Sides Voss, Mary Sides Spainhour, and all Families of Lexington, Welcome, NC. SC and MICH.
OUR PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU ALL!
