GILBREATH, Ray P. Ray P. Gilbreath, age 97, of Lewisville, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017, in Lewisville. He was born January 17, 1920 in Fannin County, Texas to Alfred Patrick Gilbreath and Ruth Wolfe Gilbreath. Ray married Edna Josephine Franklin on September 7, 1946 in Honey Grove, Texas. She preceded him in death on June 17, 2012. Ray served in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was an active member of Northview Baptist Church in Lewisville and retired as an electrician with Ford Motor Company. Ray is survived by his children, Linda Gilbreath Jackson and husband, David, Danny Gilbreath and significant other, Stansel Stephens, John Alfred Gilbreath and wife, Carla and Craig Gilbreath and wife, Sharon; six grandchildren, Tina Sams, Kelly Anderson, Nicholas Gilbreath, Ashley Lewis, Jennifer Gilbreath and Melissa Gilbreath and six great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. Interment will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Allens Chapel Cemetery in Fannin County. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. The family requests memorial contributions to be made to Allens Chapel Cemetery, 94101 E. FM 1396, Honey Grove, Texas 75446.
