Boyd, Russell Paul b. Tuesday, February 3, 1948 d. Tuesday, March 18, 2014 Paul was born in San Diego, spent his early years in Japan, then relocated to Oklahoma. Paul joined the US Navy in 1967 and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Bronze Star Metal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device. He attended college at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. Paul moved to Dallas in 1970 and began a very successful career in sales. His effervescent manner earned him respect and devoted friends at all levels. He delighted in travelling with his wife to beautiful the beaches of Cape Cod, Mexico and Hawaii. The most special moments were spent at home with Jan simply enjoying being with one another. Paul passed peacefully in his Dallas home in the arms of his wife, and his longtime friend of over 45 years, Dennis Worden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Hollis Boyd and Margaret Ilene Basden Boyd; older siblings, Margaret Kay Jackson and William Bruce Boyd; and nephew Darryl Jackson. He is survived by his wife, Jan Alexandra; daughter Caroline Sue Orr; two grandchildren Ashton and Jeffery Orr; his aunt Geneva Alexander; nieces Erin Boyd and Alissa Jackson; nephews Russell Boyd, Brian Jackson and family, Steven Boyd and family, and Craig Jackson. The Memorial Service will be held at St. Monica Catholic Church, 9933 Midway Road, Dallas, Texas 75220. 214-358-1453 on April 25, 2014, at 12:00pm. In lieu of flow-ers, please make contributions to the America Association of Cancer Research or your favorite charity.
