Donna, I know we are not acquainted but I knew Richard from high school. I remember him as the genteel jock who always wore a smile. I have thought about him many times over the years and wondered what he was up to. A co-worker told me he had run into him and that he sent me his greetings. It warmed my heart to know he remembered me. I am sad over his passing and trust the Lord will bring you through. God bless.

Dear Donna, You have been such a strong, supportive wife to Richard. I know how difficult the last few years have been for you both. I just want to thank you for being the wonderful caregiver that you are. Richard has been a life-long friend and was always there when I needed him. We butted heads a lot, but we would both get over it! And in any time of need-he was there, whether speaking at my dad's funeral or helping me to get Don in the car after surgery. He was also there for any other person in need, donating clothes to victims of Hurricane Katrina, or fundraising for Trenell's assistant dog through Paws for a Cause. He would be so proud that Trenell will finally be getting his dog in December! He loved you greatly and was very proud of you. Thanks for sharing his time with his old friends in Sherman so that he could keep his "Sherman Connections" connected for all these many years. He will always be Link to me and I will hold dear all of the memories of the Sherman Mod Squad. It was a privilege to be his friend. Love Janis Roberts Thompson
