Sendiing love and light to the family. Rick was a shining example of living a joy-filled existence. I remember his glow of sweetness and his pure singing voice well from high school. May he rest in peace.

Rick was a bright star! He loved people and people loved him. He touched many lives with his sweet nature, hardy laugh and positive energy.. Rick was an asset to the profession of nursing and will be deeply missed. Lifting up His family in prayer for peace and comfort in the many wonderful memories of Rick that they share.

I loved Rick from the moment I met him! His warm and caring personality just radiated at all times. We both shared our love of our home state of North Carolina and of course, talked about barbecue, country ham and all of the food we loved. I last saw Rick at the Rose Bowl Parade and loved hearing of his excitement in decorating a float along with Michel, Eric and Felix. When we said our goodbyes after having lunch at the LA Farmers Market, I wish I had given him more than our one hug.

Michael, you and Rick were a perfect couple with your personalities complementing each other. I am sending you hugs, love and prayers.

Eric and Felix, I know you lost a very special friend and I hope you will rely on your many good memories to help you through this difficult time.

To Rick's "mama", children and all family, my thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Losing Rick is a tremendous heartache to everyone who knew him and especially as his family.

Godspeed Rick.
