Rick was a very smart, funny, charismatic man. I only actually spent a total of a few days with him over a span of years; back when he was with Search Resource Management, playing tennis once in Virginia, and having brunch in DC one time several years ago when he was passing through. I lost track of him as many did, and only discovered his passing this month in searching for him. I extend my sincere condolences to his family. He was a bright light, a passionate and caring person, and someone who will be greatly missed. It was my privilege to know him, share some brief moments together, and enjoy his friendship and wry wit. Rest in peace my friend.

I lived in the room next to Rich in Eclectic (Wesleyan). We had many late nights, and interesting conversations. And oh my lord did he ever make me laugh! I'm so sad to read this news, so late in the game. My deepest condolences.

Sincerely,

Vicky Bippart

Rick, after searching off and on for the past three years and finding nothing, you can imagine my dismay and sorrow when I found your obituary, today. This is not the news I longed for, and it's almost hard to believe. But alas, I accept the reality, as I struggle to recall the last time we parted ways. Yes, it was a nice big hug you gave me as you told me to take care in that deep voice. That's been several years ago, and I and others have wondered where life led you. It remains a mystery. I just hope you continued bringing happiness to others as you did here in Dallas. We were missing you, and now we will miss you forever. Our condolences to your family and to those close to you.
Truly, Chris Leeds and your many friends in Dallas
