Dr Cardenas delivered my Triplets on 10/27/1988, at Landstuhl Army Regional Medical Center in Germany. I was thinking about him this am and came across this obituary which brought me to tears. I attribute my healthy children to his great care while I was pregnant. I remember while I was in the hospital (for 6 weeks) prior to their delivery he went back to the states for vacation for two weeks, he called regularly to check on me and was so worried I would deliver before his return. I held on and he led the 15 doctors, nurses and technicians in the delivery room when my healthy triplets came into the world. He was so happy and excited to deliver them and I wish so much I could update him now on how well theyre doing. Two with a bachelors degree, one with a Masters. (RN and computer engineers), all from little 3-4lb preemies. Thank You Dr Cardenas!! Ill be lighting a candle tonight and saying a prayer to you and your family. So sorry for your loss.
Sincerely, Lori Danielson

I grew up with "Ricky". Grade school together in Stuttgart Germany. Remember him to be a good friend. Saw him last i guess in 70 or 71 when his family was travelling through Fort Knox where my dad was stationed. I just found out today he had passed when I had this idea to search in the area. Called the clinic and found out the sad news. I wish I had done this years ago. It would have been nice to renew our friendship
