To Phil and the rest of the family. My deepest sympathies. Your dad was a pillar for Odessa and I know he is sorely missed. His generation is leaving us daily I just hope that we can liveup to the examples they set.

I worked for a Roy and Essie at KQIP. Eliot was a toddler when he came around the offices. Wonderful people and friends. Roy was the most prolific salesman I have ever known. Our sympathies extend to Susan and Phil and the family. Roy is still a Marine!

My sincerest condolences to Roy's family. Roy hired me as a disc jockey to work at his radio station, KQIP-FM in Odessa as well as KECK, also in Odessa, where he served as the station's general manager. I became acquainted with his wonderful family including his wife, Essie, Ben and Betty Nedow, Albert Nedow, Phil and Susan Elsner. To Phil I say, man you drove me crazy when you were in the control room while I was trying to do my show. But, I love you and Susan. I feel as if I helped raise you kids. I'm so sorry to hear about your dad's passing; you lost a great, loving dad, and I lost a great friend. With deepest sympathy, Bob Robin, former Odessa D.J. now retired in San Antonio.
