Dr Toussaint was my pastor at Immanuel Baptist Church in Richmond, VA. He got me started on my Christian walk and I am so thankful for what he taught me. A few years ago, I emailed him to thank him and he kindly wrote me back. Today I am listening to his Revelation classroom study and can see his wonderful personality shining thru. A precious believer, learned scholar who inspired confidence in me with my faith. I know that he is experiencing such a wonderful thing being with the Lord Jesus and free of burdens. Grateful to have had him as pastor teacher in my life though it was brief. Imagine the multitudes of those he has helped and taught and encouraged. My heart is sore today because of his passing but soaring because he is soaring in the heavenlies with Christ.

Dr. Tousaaint left a legacy through the lives he touched with the truth of the word. I, for one, have the unfading fingerprints of his mentoring, as both a student at DTS and his friendship lavished so kindly on me. Since learning of our brother in Christ going to be with the Lord, I have thought continually about: how much he will be missed; how sad I am for his precious family he loved so dearly; and, what it sounded like to hear the words of Christ say to him, "Well done, you good and faithful servant!"

I always took the most difficult professors and never sat in the front row except for his classes. He taught me to view Scripture from a practical view and challenged me to change intellectually and as a person. He was a great man and had the greatest jokes :) Someone to emulate and who though passed from death to life nonetheless continues to make an impact on the world through his students. Until we meet again.

A sad day for all who knew him.
